Vacancy for Excellent Holiday Playscheme Supervisor
to take over from our excellent and popular supervisor at WILMSLOW, who is leaving this Summer.
We are seeking someone with previous holiday club experience ( or someone who has after-school experience and understands the implications of the need to care for and entertain a constantly changing membership of children for a ten hour day).
That person needs to have the following abilities:
* to create quick and good relationships with new parents and children
* to manage a team of up to eight staff per day, to know how to ensure that work is done by all to a high standard whilst remaining popular and laid back
* to transform a noisy room into a silent one alone and vice versa
* to discipline children effectively in line with expectations of high standards of behaviour
* to resolve any issues with parents professionally to their and our satisfaction
* to develop and maintain a good relationship with our host school
* to do games
* to supervise trips with the confidence and knowledge that all problems can be resolved
That person needs to have the following experience:
* Ofsted inspections
* planning
* fee collection
* some knowledge of EYFS
* trips
That person should have the following characteristics:
Confidence ( or the ability to pretend really well)
Business sense
Attention to detail
Humour and a sense of the ridiculous is a definate advantage
Qualifications: Level Three minimum please,
First Aid and Food Hygiene at some point ( we can arrange for these to be updated)
Driving Licence
The successful person will work every half-term, two weeks at Easter and four weeks in the Summer ( not Christmas). They will work in conjunction with Caroline, who takes responsibility for all paperwork and running of the business side, as well as doing some childcare. Pay will depend on the calibre of person appointed but will be very good for the right person. We will be looking for someone to join the team for three weeks this Summer as an additional deputy, with a view to becoming Supervisor at October half-term.
